Parts of a Card
(1) Mana Cost – Mana is the main resource in the game. It’s produced by lands, and you spend it to cast spells. The symbols
in a card’s upper right corner tell you the cost to cast that spell.
(2) Type Line – This tell you the card’s card types. Their have creature, instant, sorcery, artifact(equipment), enchantment(aura).
(3) Power and Toughness – Each creature card has a special box with its power and toughness. A creature’s power (the first number)
is how much damage it deals in combat. Its toughness (the second number) is how much damage must be dealt to it in a single turn
to destroy it.
Lifelink
If 2 Power, deals 2 damage to creature or opponent and then +2 life to you!
Blocking
Use multiple blockers to gang up on a single attacker.
Trample
8 Power vs 2 Toughness
->2 Damge to creature…
->… remaining 6 damage to player!
Flying
Flying unit only can block by flying unit or with bow icon unit can reach.
* It can avoid attack by land unit at the same time if land unit attack you, you can’t block it with flying units.
Activated Abilities
This is an ability that you can activate whenever you like.
Zoom in on a card on the battlefield to select and activate its ability.
e.g.: Furnace Whelp’s ability costs red mana and can be activated multiple times.
First Strike
Creatures with first strike deal their combat damage before creatures without first strike.
Double Strike
Creatures with double strike deal their combat damage twice, once at the same time as creatures with first strike and again with normal damage.
Equipment
Pay to attach an Equipment to a creature to make it more powerful.
Equipped creatures drop their gear when they leave the battlefield.
